summary Architecture since always has been working with data, not only within architecture, but also data influenced by the social environment. MVRDV could be one of the architectural offices which make use of this resource; this methodology of design was called Datascapes. Nowadays, with the arise of smartphones and the Internet of Things there is an excess of data, it is of public domain, and the best of all is that data is continually updated. Apps are changing the habits and the ways that their inhabitants use the city. Through the development of different apps, a new way of represent and live the city has been created, taking the advantage of the data that is produced by their inhabitants.
