summary AI-based methods are becoming increasingly popular in the creative industries. In the field of architectural design, great potential can already be tapped, although the lack of knowledge about the available tools and their scope of performance and suitability for the various phases of design is currently hindering a broad application and impact. As part of a design-accompanying analysis, we have therefore explored the potential offered by AI-based tools in the various phases of architectural design. The aim was to develop a process map with evaluated application scenarios across the entire design process.
