summary This paper introduces an innovative design methodology for tessellated structural systems, leveraging digital fabrication and computational design to reimagine structural assembly and sustainability. Tessellated structural systems simplify construction and facilitate easier repairs by assembling smaller structural units. The design methodology comprises four main components: (1) Design Process, (2) Design Algorithm, (3) Fabrication Optimization Algorithm, and (4) Load Testing Method. We verified the feasibility and effectiveness of this method through four case studies. This methodology presents the potential for customizing and enhancing structural performance through tessellated structural systems, making it a valuable approach for future architectural and engineering applications.
